WASTE BATTERIES & ACCUMULATORS

In accordance with the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Volvo Group UK Limited (which trades as Renault Trucks UK) is registered with the UK Environment Agency as a producer of industrial and automotive batteries and as a small producer of portable batteries, reference BPRN00287. 

Producers (which includes importers and distributors) of batteries and accumulators have obligations for the collection or take-back, treatment, recycling and disposal of waste batteries and accumulators of the types they supply at the request of their customers and other end users.

Industrial Batteries

We provide a free take-back service for waste lithium-ion industrial batteries and this service is available at all Volvo Truck and Bus Centres and Renault Truck Commercials depots. 

Automative Batteries

Automotive batteries are usually lead-acid type and commonly used to provide electrical energy for the starting of automotive engines. 

We provide a free collection and take-back service for waste automotive batteries and this service is available at all Volvo Truck and Bus Centres and Renault Truck Commercials depots. 

Portable Batteries

We provide a free take-back service for portable batteries at parts sales counters at all Volvo Truck and Bus Centres and Renault Truck Commercials depots.
